Tutoring services

  • Who do we tutor?

We specialise in tutoring young people (Year 1-9) in the learning areas of literacy and mathematics. We have lived and professional experience working with neurodivergent students, including those living with ADHD, ASD, dyslexia and dysgraphia.

  • How does it work?

Before we begin learning together, it’s important that we understand your child’s strengths and areas for future learning focus.

An informal assessment, aligned with the Australian Curriculum, will be undertaken with your child. This information, along with information supplied by parents/carers/teachers (eg. IEP, school-based assessments), will be used to plan future tutoring sessions.

This session also allows us to understand your child’s interests, how they may like to learn, and to build rapport between tutor and child. Relationships are key to learning, in our book!

Feedback will be provided to the parent/carer and an action plan for tutoring will be discussed.

    In short:

    1. An informal assessment is undertaken with your child and the parent/carer is provided feedback;

    2. Discuss and agree on an action plan for tutoring.

    3. Begin the learning journey with weekly tutoring sessions.

  • In person tutoring

In person tutoring is available in Bullsbrook, Western Australia, and surrounding areas (Muchea, Lower Chittering, Chittering). If you live beyond these service areas, please reach out to discuss your needs. Travel to surrounding areas and beyond will incur an additional fee.

Sessions takes place in the comfort of your home or at a mutually agreed venue and run for 45 minutes.

  • Online tutoring

Online tutoring offers greater flexibility for students and families that live outside the in person service areas, or perhaps online lessons are more suited to your lifestyle.

Sessions take place via Zoom and run for 45 minutes.

  • Fees & Charges

In person and online tutoring - $60 (45 minute session). Note - longer sessions and double sessions can be organised. In our experience, 45 minutes per learning session is best for student engagement.

Travel (if you are located in surrounding areas or beyond) - price determined based on location.

Fees are payable per school term (note terms can run for 9-11 weeks in duration):

    • A deposit equivalent to 4 weeks tuition (plus travel costs where applicable) is required 48 hours (2 days) before the first session commences.

    • The balance of the term fees (plus travel costs where applicable) is required 48 hours (2 days) before the fifth session commences.

If an agreement has been made for week-by-week payments:

    • The total cost of the tutoring session must be paid 48 hours (2 days) before the session commences. If payment is not received, it will be assumed that the tutoring session is no longer required and any associated room bookings will be cancelled.

  • Cancellation Policy
